Complexity science from an institutional approach is studied. A battery of indicators and visualization techniques are used to characterize the research behavior of the Complexity Sciences Center at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), during the period 2010-2019. Productivity, impact and collaboration patterns are analyzed. Its strong links with national and international institutions are evidenced. National funds for research are predominant. An intense multidisciplinary activity is identified, with a wide diversity of topics studied, which is a distinctive characteristic of the Mexican center with respect to similar institutions in the international context. This work was presented as poster during the 18th International Conference on Scientometrics and Informetrics, ISSI 2021, 12-15 July, Leuven (Belgium).
