As you enter the luxurious Quinta da Baroneza condominium in the charming city of Bragança Paulista, you come across a residence that seems to merge with the surrounding landscape of green fields and lush vegetation. This is Casa MP, an architectural project designed by the renowned Studio Arthur Casas, which has masterfully utilized the slope of the land to create a house that remains virtually invisible from the street, ensuring maximum privacy for its residents. Situated on an extremely steep terrain, Casa MP encompasses nearly a thousand square meters of built area, seamlessly integrating with the land. The house is stepped, transitioning gradually from intimate spaces on the upper levels to common areas on the ground floor, structured by a large staircase sheltered within a wooden box. This staircase spans different levels in a straight line, dividing the house into two wings and even allowing for the transformation of spaces into two distinct apartments. Upon arrival, you're greeted by an intriguing façade in cumaru wood, featuring a large corten steel door that reveals little of what lies beyond. However, upon entering the residence on the upper level, you are surprised by large openings that frame the countryside landscape spectacularly, flooding the spaces with natural light. All the suites open to generous terraces sheltered by cantilevered pergolas, enhancing the connection with the surrounding nature. On the lower level, the living room stands out with its suspended limestone-clad fireplace. This area seamlessly flows into the gourmet kitchen, which opens to an inner courtyard adorned with a lush vertical garden. On the other side, you'll find the spa and the home theater, the latter seeming to hover over the pool like a cantilevered box. The infinity pool in travertine marble reflects the sky and creates a serene atmosphere. The house is clad in reclaimed brick in a pattern that enhances the rich texture of the material, creating an intriguing contrast with the wood used in the staircase and bedroom shutters. The interior of Casa MP is equally spectacular, with iconic pieces by Jorge Zalszupin and Brazilian craftsmanship, such as Seu Fernando's chair from Ilha do Ferro. Natural fibers and warm tones provide a welcoming and inviting environment that masterfully harmonizes the verticality of the architecture with the horizontality of the landscape.
