Start doing more exercise. 5. Eat heathier. 6. Avoid Caffeine and naps during the day if you are having problem sleeping. 7. Take a nice warm shower before sleeping. 8. Do not interact with electronics or watch tv for at least 2 hours before bedtime. 9. Keep the phone far away form you. 10. Read a book before bedtime, Meditate, Pray. 11. Keep a Notebook next to the bed in case you get raising thoughts. 12. Turn off the lights 13. Use a heavy weight anxiety blanket Bonus keep the room clutter free. Declutter room means declutter mind! Here is a list of Plants and Herbs that can help you sleep: Most act as a sleep aid and lower the stress hormone in our bodies as well as decrease the breakdown of GABA an inhibitory neurotransmitter. 1. Valerian root 2. Chamomile 3. Passion flower 4. Ashwagandha 5. Cinnamon 6. Albizia julibrissin – the tree of joy or Persian silk tree or mimosa tree 7. Lavender aromatherapy I have left the tea recipe for last because It is best to start implementing the healthy habits and the tips before mentioned and if needed then supplement with this natural remedy. For the Homemade Sleeping tea we will be using: 1. Albizia julibrissin (flowers, and leaves) can be fresh, dry or tea bags 2. Passion Fruit tree leaves ( you can also use passion fruit flowers, or fruit) Fresh, dry, or tea bags. 3. Valerian root (I am using a tea bag) but you can use it fresh root or dry 4. Cinnamon (I am using sticks but you can also use powder) 5. Chamomile flowers (fresh or dry) 6. Water 7. Add sugar or honey or stevia to taste once poured into the cups.
