The Road to Commercializing Innovation | Vishantini Tangavaloo | TEDxUoSM

In this globalised era, new innovations are constantly popping up in places we might not have expected. However, it is important that these innovations are marketed appropriately for them to stand out. In her talk, Vishantini goes through the process of commercialising an innovation based on a tried and true technique. Vishantini Tangavaloo obtained her chemical engineering degree from the University Technology of Petronas(utp) and her MS chemical and bioprocess engineering from the National University of Malaysia. Currently, she heads the product development department at Synergy Oil & Gas Engineering sdn bhd. Her present research interests are focused on the oil & gas industry’s renewable energy and production enhancement. In recent years, she had developed recognized commercialization products which were awarded the Spotlight New Technology Award at the Oil & Gas Conference Asia 2020. She has also developed technical and marketable introductions on energy optimization across the industry. Presently, she actively mentors’ others and works with research in the field of production enhancement, renewables and energy optimization. Her expertise is in the areas of research management, patent writing and market research insight. Vishantini is also a professional technologist in the oil & gas industry recognized by the Malaysian board of technologists.
