Two DLCs are fighting again for which one has stronger characters. This time on Special Edition. Thanks to Khajiit Kharjo for suggestion! No level-cap characters have been capped at level 100. For anyone wondering why at some point we have seen Karstaag die and then later he returned: Skyrim Special Edition differs a lot from the original game. The most annoying change is that in original game I can leave Skyrim running, go eat something or whatever and return at any moment. In Special Edition, leaving the game for a little too long will cause the PC to show the screensaver, and while moving the mouse again, we encounter the game frozen, and while sometimes we can still save it, most of the time computer needs to be restarted. That happened in this case, and I had to load my last save, which I made before Karstaag died. So even though Skyrim SE crashed much more rarely, this issue remains as the reason some battles may not be fluid, as I might forget to come back in time.
