February Tracks — XC Skiing Across SE Michigan

This video follows a stretch of cross-country skiing across SE Michigan during February 2026, moving chronologically through five different parks. It begins with my very first downhill ever on cross-country skis — the start of a completely new winter activity for me — and continues through the rest of the short season as I explored local trails. Each scene is labeled with the park and date it was filmed, capturing the conditions as they were throughout the month. Most of the footage is simple third-person perspectives of downhill stretches. I'm just skiing through the trails and letting the terrain speak for itself. The editing is intentionally straightforward. Each video I make is part of learning the process, and the small imperfections are part of that record. This one documents both a short Michigan winter and the novelty of trying something new. Winter held on long enough for a few good weeks of skiing, but by February 16 the snow was melting, and with it my dreams of more skiing adventures. For now, these are the February tracks.
