The new ASX is a compact crossover that made its debut in Europe and marks Mitsubishi’s renewed effort in the fiercely contested segment. Sporting a heavily sculpted exterior, the vehicle boasts a distinctive grille and complex headlight shapes, which add to its bold and stylish stance. It is available in six different colors, and the high-end trims offer an attractive black roof option. The vehicle's new design ethos is based on the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance CMF-B platform. It's slightly more compact than its predecessor, measuring 4227mm in length, 1797mm in width, and 1576mm in height, with a 2639mm wheelbase, positioning it among the smaller contenders in its category. Under the hood, there’s an exciting variety of powertrain options, including a 1.3-Liter Four-Cylinder Mild Hybrid engine. This engine packs a punch with 138 HP (103 kW) and 192 LB-FT (260 Nm) of torque. This offers an optimal combination of performance and fuel efficiency, catering to a broad range of preferences among consumers. The mild-hybrid technology aids in fuel-saving while ensuring a responsive driving experience. Inside, the ASX showcases a range of options based on trim levels. The entry-level model features an analog instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch screen nestled between the gauges, ensuring that essential information is easily accessible. Infotainment is not left behind; the vehicle comes standard with a 7.0-inch screen, but there is an option to upgrade to a 9.3-inch, portrait layout display that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, enhancing connectivity and entertainment. When it comes to safety, the ASX goes all out to ensure a secure driving experience. All variants come with emergency brake assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and parking assist as standard. Upgrading to higher-level trims adds features like blind spot assist, active lane departure warning, and speed alert. The top-tier models do not hold back, with the inclusion of adaptive cruise control and active lane-following assist, ensuring utmost safety and convenience, especially during long drives. Interestingly, the ASX borrows hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrain options from its Renault counterpart, the Captur. While it remains to be seen if all the technology features from the Captur will transition to the ASX, it’s expected that many of its active driver-assistance features, such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition will find their way into the Mitsubishi model. #MitsubishiASX2023 #MitsubishiASX #MitsubishiASXfirstlook #MitsubishiASX2023exterior #MitsubishiASX2023interior #MitsubishiASXwalkaround #MitsubishiASXdetails #MitsubishiASXnew ➡️ Discover all new cars before anyone else!
