Feel free to subscribe—I’d love to see you there too! Link: / @sa_distanthorizon Sincerely yours, Spectral Anomaly. ✨ The monoliths had no name. No records spoke of their construction, no transmissions whispered their purpose. They loomed over the mist-blanketed expanse like the last remnants of a civilization that had long since faded from existence. Towering structures of cold, brutalist design, their sheer faces scarred by time, their interiors black as the abyss. A pale glow flickered from their scattered windows—distant, unreadable. They stood alone, eternal, waiting. The first explorers who stumbled upon them sent back fragmented transmissions—brief, disjointed bursts of static-laced words, cut off mid-sentence. "They are watching." "The walls are not empty." "It’s not just stone." Then silence. Their ship remained untouched on the outskirts of the site, but no crew ever returned to claim it. The second team arrived weeks later, more cautious, armed with instruments to penetrate the structures’ cryptic silence. They entered the fog. They never returned. The bastions were not abandoned. Not in the way ruins are abandoned. They existed, self-contained, their purpose unknown, their stillness deliberate. Sensors detected faint, irregular pulses emanating from deep within—signals too complex to decode, too structured to be random. The interiors, when glimpsed through drones, showed cavernous halls of impossible scale, their walls adorned with unreadable symbols that seemed to shift when unobserved. Attempts to map the space resulted in failure; corridors twisted, dimensions distorted, distances stretched and collapsed at will. The structures did not welcome intruders. The mist swirled thick around their bases, concealing whatever lay beneath. Some swore the ground was not solid, that the bastions did not rest upon it but instead hovered just above, the mist their only foundation. Others claimed to have seen shadows moving within the illuminated windows, but no living thing had ever been detected inside. Then came the sound. Low, resonant, vibrating through the air itself. A tone not produced by any natural force. It pulsed through the landscape like a warning, like a call, like something waiting for a response. It was ancient, patient. The last transmission from the research vessel orbiting the planet arrived at 03:17 UTC. A single line of text, untranslated, composed of symbols matching those inscribed upon the bastions. Then the vessel lost orbit. It did not crash. It simply vanished. The structures remain. Their lights still flicker, their forms still carve the mist. No further expeditions have been sent. The world has been classified as a restricted zone, its coordinates erased from official records. And yet, sometimes, if you listen closely to the static of deep-space signals, you might hear it. That sound. Waiting. Calling. #scifiambient #ambient #ambientmusic #soundscape #backgroundmusic #drone #dystopia #postapocalyptic #postapocalypse #darkambient #emotionalmusic #existentialmusic #noisemusic #meditationmusic #musicforsleep #musicforstudying #musicformeditation #musicforthesoul #musicforstudy #ambientmusicforstudying #ambientmusicforsleep #ambientmusicforwork #musicforprogramming #relaxingambientmusic #dystopianmusic #ambientsound #ambientsoundscapes #spectralanomaly #scarymusic #horrormusicsoundeffect #horromusic
