First, I wanted to tell you that Brazil is divided into 5 regions: North (where the Amazon is located), Northeast (where there are countless beaches), Center (where the country's capital is), Southeast (where Rio, SP and my hometown are) and South. In total we have 26 states and one district. As for the number of cities, I don't know exactly how many, but more than 5,000 for sure. The first city on the list of biggest cities in Brazil is São Paulo, the largest city in Latin America, with more than 11 million people! and I think you should not visit it in your first time in Brazil. Why? Because it's a big city like Toronto or NY or London. Yes, they are all very interesting cities, I’ve been to all, but on your first visit to Brazil I think you should take the opportunity to get to know our beaches, waterfalls and natural wonders. The second in my list of biggest cities in Brazil, is one of my favorites: Rio de Janeiro! You should definitely visit this one on your first time in Brazil. It has approximately 6 million people and wonderful landscapes! I really like Rio because it's a city that mixes elements of a big city, but also has beaches and an amazing vibe.
