Harvest 2023 day 1. Combining Spring Barley with Massey Ferguson 7270 AL 4.

01st august 2023 and this is the first day of harvest for South Heath Harvesting due to some failed Oil Seed Rape crops. This was a field of Spring Barley harvested at between 14 and 18 percent. The crop needed to be combines as the forecast was wet for the next week. The crop was already lodged and would not have faired well. The farmer was baling right behind the combine for the same reason. The 7270 combine is a 2011 auto level with 4WD. The 4WD may come in handy this year. The combine was bought from JR Firby and replaced a 1997 MF 40RS The combine was serviced and is looked after mechanically by ACC ltd in Great Bentley.
