Today, I tried different versions of rice topped with fried eggs!🍳: sesame oil, perilla oil, butter, and even ketchup! I also paired it with ponytail kimchi and a warm bowl of Yukgaejang instant noodles! Over the past few days, I’ve been dealing with food poisoning (I got it after eating something I don’t normally eat 🥲), so I’ve only been eating rice porridge. For my first solid meal, I chose rice with fried eggs, and it was an excellent choice 👍🏻. It was so delicious, I nearly fainted 🔥. The rich yolk coated the rice beautifully, and the salty soy sauce blended perfectly with the fragrant sesame oil, perilla oil, butter, and ketchup, making it taste absolutely amazing! Maybe because it was the first proper meal I had in a while, it tasted soooo good 😇. When the crispy, refreshing young ponytail kimchi joined in, it became 100 times more delicious, and let’s not forget the hidden MVP, the Yukgaejang noodles! Honestly, I wanted to pick just one as the best, but they were all so good, I couldn’t choose! If I had to, though, I’d say perilla oil and butter are tied for first place! The classic sesame oil and nostalgic ketchup might be tied for second…? Rice with fried eggs is so simple to make, yet when you mix it all together, it makes you so happy! I believe this is a must-have comfort food for Koreans! Which version do you like the most? I recommend trying it with ramen and kimchi soon! Thank you so much for watching! 🙇🏻♀️ Thanks again for tuning in today! 🙏🏻
