We travelled to Iran at the beginning of September 2022 before protests and civil unrest began in Tehran on 16 September 2022 following to the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. Our thoughts are with the people of Iran during this time and we feel incredibly thankful to have visited and experienced the amazing hospitality and culture of Iran as New Zealanders. So THIS IS IRAN! And THIS is the beautiful city of Shiraz. It's our first day out in Iran and wow; our first outing has exceeded all expectations of what we hoped Iran would be like! We had an amazing day tour of Shiraz with Esmaeil (Essie) from TAP Persia Agency of whom we can very highly recommend.
