CRT TV - Sony KV-AR212N60 (S-Video) HDTV - LG 32LA6200 (Component) (Game Mode) I'm using a PS2 system to play PS1 Parappa the Rapper. An analog video signal is converted internally by HDTV to digital for display, adding some input lag. HDMI is digital, so no conversion is needed, so the input lag is smaller than shown in this video as long as the TV is set to Game Mode. CRT TVs practically don't have input lag because they are natively analog. All modern HDTVs have some input lag, which is why if you play Duck Hunt (NES), the zapper won't work there. But some HDTVs have more lag than others. Input lag is most evident on more expensive HDTV models because of additional features to enhance the picture, but it also causes input lag. Setting it to Game Mode sacrifices those features to reduce input lag. Cheaper HDTVs don't have those features that cause input lag; that's why they don't have Game Mode, because they don't lag as much. Rhythm action (like Parappa the Rapper) and fighting games (like Tekken 4) are most affected by input lag. The audio from this video came from an HDTV, which has some lag, which is tricky when I played Parappa the Rapper. UPDATE September 07, 2015 Games that I used in this video: 1 - Parappa The Rapper - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PaRappa... 2 - Tekken 4 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tekken_4
