Then we have the Audi, which has double the number of cylinders under the bonnet, where it houses a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that puts down 507hp and 770Nm of torque. It’s also oh-so-much heavier than the Golf, tipping the scales at 2,250kg! So sure, the Audi has way more power, but it’s also 700kg heavier! And more importantly, while the Golf will set you back £40,000, it’s only half the price of the Audi! So is it worth paying so much more for that extra power?
