Surf Fishing for Pompano from the beach along the Gulf of Mexico is pretty easy. In this video I will show you how to set up your fishing rod, what bait to use, and the techniques for catching Pompano. The first part of the video shows you the pompano rig that is best for catching fish. I see a lot of beginners using steel leaders with red beads on them, and they are not good for catching Pompano. I like to use frozen shrimp and Fish Bites for bait. If you can get live sand fleas they are the best. I didn't talk about them in this video.
