FELDBERG Birthday hike (Black Forest)

Feldberg is the highest mountain of the Black Forest: 1493m. I started at 10am and finished after 8 hours and 16.5km (moving time 4.5 hours) On my birthday I always try to be outside somewhere, traveling, hiking, enjoying life. This year I went on a spontanous last minute trip to the Black Forest. Ok it wasn't "spontanous", because I already knew I would go somewhere on my birthday. But it was "last minute" for the destination Black Forest. Weather forecast was very bad for the Alps and the Bavarian Forest, my two standard hiking destinations, because they are close to where I live. But forecast was good for the Black Forest! So I went there from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon and did 2 hikes. Checkout the second hike here:    • BELCHEN After Birthday Hike (Black Forest)   The "classic" hike there is the "Feldbergsteig", a circular hike that starts and ends at the Feldberg cable car station.
