In todays episode i start to see a huge improvement at the allotment. The weather was finally dry and fair, so I took advantage of the weather to get some outdoor gardening jobs done. I woodchipped the fig and olive plot, created a stone bench to relax on and showed the improvements made throughout winter. I then tackle the fruitcage from First tunnels. I weeded & removed all the brambles that had taken root over winter. its important to do this straight away before they strengthen in spring and are harder to dig out. I then woodchipped inside and made plans for future fruit plants to be added. perhaps a grapevine? I also mulch the asparagus bed to hero with keeping the weeds down in spring. inside the polytunnel I show you how to start your onion and shallot sets off to a good start using compost and a module tray from containerwise. I also potted up some spring cabbages that had accidently sprouted when a seed packet spilled into a 30L bucket. plant labels : https://amzn.to/4tpEab2 plant labels with hoops: https://amzn.to/4ccdCny sharpie pens : https://amzn.to/4cgVGIq Egg Trays: https://amzn.to/3OuLKkD The circular raised beds mentioned: https://amzn.to/4tSWD06 Happy Growing!
