Meet Dr. Alejandro Garcia, general surgeon at ADC. Dr. Alejandro Garcia is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical intensivist with over thirteen years of experience. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and a native Spanish speaker, he is a proud life member of Texas Exes. As the associate trauma medical director, he practiced a wide range of acute care surgery, including elective and emergency procedures, trauma, and surgical critical care, all while developing a passion for complex surgical cases. At St. David's, he again helped establish a general surgery residency program and served as faculty for both the St. David's Healthcare General Surgery Residency and Texas A&M medical students. He chose to focus exclusively on general surgical practice, emphasizing patient education and the complex physiology of surgical patients.
