we visited Hwaseong Haenggung at night. It's described as a temporary palace for Joseon kings. Seems more like a vacation home, right? The original structure was mostly damaged during the Japanese occupation and took a long restoration from 1996 to 2003, they say. Night openings are nice; it's not too hot, quite cool actually. But the traditional palace vibe is somewhat lost with all the flashy lights they've put up. Feels like paying for an art exhibition with few originals and more of a laser show with projections. Still, kids seem to love it all. If only there weren't any mosquitoes. Out of my whole family, only I got bitten the most. Again... Music and SFX from artlist
