Can Adding Constant Noise Help Make Your Podcast Sound Better?

One common mistake I hear in a lot of beginner and amateur podcasts is the lack of consistency in noise floor This is a really strange topic and it seems counterintuitive to add noise to your podcast in order to make your noise less noticeable, but when you really think about it, it kinda makes sense. We hear changes more than we here constants. Every recording in the world has SOME kind of room or ambient noise in it. It's at least greater than 0. If we are editing our podcast and leave moments of absolute silence, it'll make our (hopefully) small noise floor suddenly noticeable. So I propose we all investigate how we're treating the noise in our podcast and see what we can do to make it all seem to go away.
