And in the 10 year gap it took us to get a new Mario Kart game in the form of Mario Kart World, we did get some new stuff like Mario Kart Tour, Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, but people still grew bored of not having a true new Mario Kart game.
