The Bucherer watch, Calibre ETA 2630, arrived for service due to poor timekeeping. I have conducted a thorough professional service, examining all the watch parts carefully. We hand-cleaned each component and placed them in a professional Elma cleaning machine. Some parts were also cleaned using Bergeon B-Dip and then treated with Epilame to enhance the watch's longevity. We applied the appropriate amount of Moebius oil and grease. One week after the service, the watch's timekeeping was maintained within the COSC range, It impressively shows a timekeeping accuracy between -2.2 and +1.1, tested at all six positions, with an average of -0.4 seconds per day. which is impressive for a 55 year old timepiece. This watch is now protected from wear and tear and is guaranteed to remain in the COSC range for the next five years. This is the most accurate ETA movement I have encountered to date, I think, I could be wrong. It is particularly noteworthy that a timepiece nearly 55 years old continues to meet the strict standards set by COSC which is -4.0 to +5.0. My understanding is that the ETA 2630 caliber is underrated and there isn't much information available about it. It seems that only the Bucherer brand equipped with the ETA 2630 calibre is officially tested and certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute. No wonder these Bucherer watches with the ETA 2630 caliber are priced at nearly £1,000. Impressive!
