The Psalmeneers of Columbus, Ohio, was founded by the late Bernard Upshaw in September, 1958, with William Binford, Harriet Jackson, Annetta McKenney, Elnora Smith and Corrie Warner. Through the years other great singers became a part of this aggregation. the Paalmeneers consisted of Corrie Warner Albert, Camille Doughty Banner, Melvyn Little, Randolph Sills and Barbara Smallwood. They traveled all over the country, and appearing in concerts at churches, auditoriums, art festivals and benefit charity programs. We were regular members on several television and radio programs; WTVN channel 6 and WVKO Radio respectively to name a few. In 1959 their first 45 rpm recording was released “Only A Look” an “It Must Be Jesus” on Gospel Label. In 1969, they signed an exclusive recording contract with Savoy Recording Company, and our first album released was “Trouble In The Land.” Their second album was released in July, 1970 titled “Every Prayer Will Find It’s Answer.”
