Pot is an oil barrel with the bottom cut off and inverted (3/4" and 2" holes now in the base). This is resting on a 1/3 barrel firebox. All clamped together in a tripod frame. Flame licks around the base of the pot before going up the 5" flue. Iron pipe fitting used in the 3/4" barrel hole for draining contents. 2" hole sealed up. Unit is tilted towards the exit hole. Made a mistake painting inside of barrel with 150C engine paint. Subsequently had to scrape this off the base of the pot. The paint already on the barrel inside was more durable to heat. Start the burner with paper/cardboard, and a squirt of diesel if needed. During a recent run, the heat added 78C to 150 litres of oil in 4.5 hours, by burning @8 litres WVO. Seems to work reasonably well, but there's obviously a fair bit of heat lost from sides of firebox and burner and the open topped pot.
