This Jaguar began life as an XKE Series I roadster, reportedly a 1961 model, and was modified in the style of an E-Type Lightweight in the early 2010s. The modifications are said to have been performed by Valley Motorsport of Market Drayton, England, in preparation for Jaguar E-Type 50th Anniversary celebrations held at Silverstone Circuit, though it is noted that the car did not participate in the event. The hand-fabricated aluminum bodywork is finished in black, while the race-prepped interior features high-back bolstered bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery. Power is provided by a replacement Crosthwaite and Gardiner 3.8-liter inline-six fitted with triple Weber side-draft carburetors and mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes 15” Dunlop-style alloy wheels, a vented aluminum hardtop, a Custom Cages roll cage, a fuel cell, a Lifeline fire-suppression system, a Schroth Racing multi-point harness, and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. It was previously listed on BaT in April 2024 and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2025.
