***Please Watch In 720p*** In the video we see operation's on the former Pennsylvania Railroad's Schuylkill Division in Temple, Pennsylvania. The Schuylkill Division is where the Reading and Northern Railroad started as the Blue Mountain and Reading (BM&R). When Conrail was abandoning the former PRR Schuylkill Division in 1983 a part of the line was saved by a group of shippers who didnt want the rail service to terminate from Temple to Hamburg. The shippers named Andy Muller the designated operator of the line, the Railroad became The Blue Mountain and Reading. After 7 Years of Freight and Passenger Service on the 12 mile Schuylkill Division, Andy Muller expanded to include the former Reading Company Main from Reading to Pottsville, plus numerous branch lines in December 1990. After that the main focus became the Reading Main and aquiring other railroad lines. After expanding even more the name of the company was changed from Blue Mountain and Reading to the Reading and Northern Railroad. Since then service on the Schuylkill Division declined and is now down to a hand full of cars a year for one customer, the line has been used for storing storage cars and other pieces of Reading and Northern equipment. At Temple we see track work, the removal of storage cars, some loaded and empty ballast cars for the R&N Main Line and tank cars. The Railroads purpose has changed over the years but it still see's service every now and then, so watch out for these special moves and catch the Reading and Northern on the Schuylkill Division.
