What the dream of owning your own café is in big cities, the romantic idea of owning your own mountain hut is among mountain people. Mountain friend Katharina “Kaddi” Kestler also dreams of living and working in the mountains ⛰️. A few years ago, she was within reach of her dream: together with her sister Verena, she would have been awarded the lease for a DAV hut! But Kaddi decided against a life as a hut warden and opted for the freedom and flexibility offered by life in the city. But her dream of owning her own hut is still with her today: is this way of working and living perhaps a future model for her after all? To find out, she takes on the hustle and bustle of an Alpine club hut in the high season and lends a hand on an alpine pasture with livestock farming. 🛌🍳 🍺 Making beds, preparing breakfast and tapping beer versus making cheese, milking and herding cattle - what does Kaddi like more 🐄🧀? Will she still have time to enjoy the mountains? And would she really leave her city life behind and live like this in the future?
