WATCH: Akron police release bodycam video from incident where suspect fired at officers

NOTE: This video includes language some viewers may find offensive. Akron police on Sunday released body camera footage from an incident last weekend in which a suspect exchanged gunfire with officers. Two suspects were arrested after one of them fired at officers in the 400 block of Sherman Street on the night of May 25. The edited, 5 1/2-minute video begins with audio from a 911 call made by a 27-year-old woman who had been shot in the leg. The victim gave the dispatcher a description of the suspect and said he ran out the front door. According to the video, officers arrived on scene and heard gunshots nearby as well as someone in the parking lot yelling, "He's right there." The footage then shows, from the body-worn cameras of the two officers involved, footage of the encounter between the officers and the suspect. More than a dozen gunshots are audible in the video.
