Check out my Photoshop specific channel, Digital Lens: / Канал Or my Cinema 4D Course (for anyone wanting to learn the basics of Cinema 4D): http://curious.com/jesseofsowitz This is a follow up to my "Rigging and Weighting" tutorial. I made this since people wanted to know how to rig a character. I hope this shows the basics and gives you an idea. WATCH FIRST: http://www.youtube.com/user/JClayCast... YouTube likes to cut off the last few seconds of my videos . . . all I say is a heartfelt goodbye. Base mesh taken from here, though seems to be unavailable now: http://wiki.polycount.com/wiki/BaseMesh A lot of people have trouble pressing the "bind" button. Before posting a comment asking how to bind, check these common mistakes (and follow the video carefully): -Is the model editable before adding bones? Select the model and press C or go to Functions - Make Editable -Don't add joints as children of the model. The Root Null bone should be its own object, then select all bones and the model (not the NURBS, the actual model) -You must bind the joints to a SINGLE object at a time. You can't select multiple objects, the joints, and then bind. The easiest way to overcome this is to make the separate objects (e.g. leg object, head object, etc.) into one object, though it's ok to simply bind the joints multiple times, just a little more work.
