FOLLOW ON TIKTOK FOR DAILY VIDS @HUSKYSCRAMBLES Crib Goch, Snowdonia. Footage from beginning of January 2026 Crib Goch is a knife-edge arête located in Snowdonia. It is a grade 1 scramble however in terms of exposure there aren't many routes in the UK that compare. Although rated a grade 1 this is not your average scramble with 8-10 climbers falling to their death annually as it is extremely exposed with sheer drops on either side. Unlike other grade 1 scrambles and ridgelines across the UK such as Striding edge or the CMD Arête once you are on the ridge there are no bypass paths with the ridge having to be tackled directly over the top. In winter the ridge becomes even more of a serious traverse with full winter kit including crampons and ice axes required. Due to the seriousness of the exposure and high risk of one slip / misfooting resulting in serious injury or death - I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR DOG ALONG THIS ROUTE Unless at a level of training, confidence and experience comparable. The boys & I have built up to this stage over many years and they have completed numerous technical and exposed winter routes. Before attempting Crib Goch in full winter conditions they had traversed this ridge 15 + times. Dogs who are not under full control with the confidence to tackle this terrain independently are a danger to themselves, yourself and all others on the ridge PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO REPLICATE WHAT YOU SEE IN THIS VIDEO WITH YOUR DOG Stay safe all mountain dogs and people !
