Hotel Amber Pattaya is a mid-priced hotel located in the Soi Buakhao area, next to Tree Town Pattaya. For this stay, I booked "Deluxe Room" via Agoda: https://www.agoda.com/hotel-amber-pat... For this stay, the price was just 47 USD per night at the end of the low season of 2024. Please note that this hotel seems to be quite popular and the cheapest rooms are often sold out during high season. This is why you might only see prices above 80 USD per night. Hotel Amber Pattaya location This hotel is located directly on the opposite soi of the Tree Town Pattaya entrance. It's next to the Adelphi Hotel Pattaya, just around 170 meters walk from Tree Town. This is a very good location, offering easy access to the cheap Soi Buakhao street with many restaurants and beer bars. Pattaya Beach is also easily accessible via walking from the hotel, just around 800-900 meters depending on the route. Central Festival Pattaya is around 700 meters away. Pattaya Walking Street can be also reached via walking but the distance is around 1.8 KM from the hotel. Hotel Amber Pattaya guest-friendly? The hotel is guest-friendly. No extra charges if you stay alone in the room (2 persons max per room same time). Which is the normal hotel guest policy in Pattaya. Please note that there might be an extra fee of 300 baht if you bring more than one guest at the same time. Swimming pool and fitness center The swimming pool is located on the ground floor next to the restaurant. There is a smaller jacuzzi-type pool and a larger regular pool for swimming. There wasn't any lack of sunbeds during my stay, as there was a total of around 20 of them. There is a small fitness center next to the swimming pool. It has two treadmills, one stationary bike, a multi-functional workout machine, dumbbells weighing up to 15 kg (if I remember correctly), and an adjustable bench. While it's better than nothing, it isn't really suitable for serious training. If good gym is needed I can recommend Sun Fitness which is located close to the hotel. Additionally, there is also sauna which I didnt remember to test during my stay. Service quality I found the service here to be exceptional, clearly surpassing what is normally expected in this price range. The reception staff was friendly, and the check-in process was smooth. Doormen (porters) in the lobby were engaging and extremely friendly, very similar to those in 5-star hotels. Also, nothing bad to say about the staff in the restaurant, cleaning, and swimming pool. Is Hotel Amber Pattaya good value for the money? If the price is around 60 USD or under, I believe that this Hotel Amber is good value for money. Room quality, service, and especially breakfast are all above average for this price range. Pretty much only negative thing was that fitness center is very limited. However, if the price is above 70 there start be a lot good options for that price. For example, next door there is Adelphi Hotel Pattaya which is very good hotel priced 40-65 USD per night.
