The journey of peace continues. In April 2026, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara, his teacher Venerable Ratanaguṇa, and ten additional monks from the Walk for Peace will embark on a sacred mission from Fort Worth, Texas to Sri Lanka. The purpose of this journey is to respectfully request Sacred Buddha Relics and a Bodhi Tree sapling for the Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center. These sacred symbols represent peace, compassion, mindfulness, and unity — the same principles that inspired the 2,300-mile Walk for Peace across America. While in Sri Lanka, the monks will participate in a 4-day Walk for Peace, continuing the global mission of harmony and spiritual awakening. After returning to the United States, these sacred relics will be displayed during the Vesak Celebration (May 2–10, 2026) at Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center. The Bodhi Tree sapling, descended from the historic Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Sri Lanka, will be planted as a living symbol of enlightenment and peace for generations to come. This mission is made possible through the kindness and support of the community. If you would like to support this sacred journey, your contribution helps bring peace and spiritual inspiration to communities around the world.
