Hi, I’m Jeff, and a common question we get asked is how to load the Swingline SmartTouch stapler- because it’s not like other staplers. http://bit.ly/1y54UKL There are three different SmartTouch staplers and two ways to load. For all full length and compact models, simply press this button on a downward angle to release the front-loading carriage. You may have to pull out the carriage to fully extend it. Add the staples and slide the carriage back into the stapler. For SmartTouch grip staplers, loading is like the more conventional type of stapler. Simply pull on the top of the stapler and when it’s open; load in your staples. We hope this answers any staple loading question you may have. And … happy stapling!
