COVID-19 has emphasized the importance of medical research the world over. In India, the Indian Council of Medical Research has not only been helming bio-medical and health research since its inception in 1911, but the organization has been periodically updating the guidelines since 1980, to address ethical concerns around different forms of biomedical and health research that impact human beings.
