A ballistic missile fired from Iran crossed Iraqi and Syrian airspace and was heading into Turkish airspace before NATO air and missile defence systems destroyed it over the eastern Mediterranean on Wednesday. Turkey's Defence Ministry confirmed no casualties and issued a stark warning Ankara reserves the right to respond.
