The game doesn't appear to have much of a goal other than win. There is no ending as such other than credit roll. Much like any arcade racing game of the era. Coming frst on all three tracks and modes will unlock the extra cars but it wont mention you have done so. It looks and plays like a Sega Saturn racer and not a late PS1 1998 game. You start off in as Speed Racer. I tried to unlock GRX during the medium endurance but I couldn't seem to smash the doors open. I'm guessing I needed the demon car to do it which is unlocked later on. (with rotor cutters enabled). RacerX and Demon car include weapons which can help you navigate the short cuts. Lights for dark areas, jump for getting over barriers, cutters for getting rid of trees and doors, traction wheels for muddy areas and grip and a periscope/deflector for accelerating underwater. The short cuts really do help for getting ahead of the pack and almost guarantees a win. At the start of the demo car race I enable a couple of extra view modes by entering a code into the pause menu. Overall a short arcade experience style racer but not particularly fun.
