Armed with newly forged dowsing rods, I put them to work on one of the region’s most charged landscapes. And then—something strange happens. Dennis splits into two versions of himself: Dennis 1 walks the path to Stoke St Gregory, grounded, steady, questioning the Alfredian myths. Dennis 2 enters St Michael’s Church, tracing the mysterious Michael alignment across England, dowsing for currents that link hill, church, and sky. The theme for today? Superposition & Experiment. Just as particles can exist in multiple states at once, maybe so can the walker.
