This is a look at the hydration pack that I've been using for the past year, the MSR A4 Hydro Pack. This pack is identical to the USWE A4 pack, just branded MSR. After much use I am happy to report that this pack is still one of my favorite pieces of riding gear. With it's 4 point harness design and central buckle it stays put even during the most violent get off's! I've spent a lot of time with this pack on my back, and a lot of time on my back with this pack sandwiched between myself and the ground! For the most part, it still looks new! If you are looking for a solid day use pack that is sure to hold up to the abuses of dirt riding, make sure you have a solid look at the MSR A4 Hydro Pack. / @rideenduro . Hey guys you’re watching ride enduro, I'm Alex and I'm gonna take you through the MSR A4 Hydro Pack. This is my long-term review, I've had this pack for over a year now and I'm gonna show you guys how it's held up. All right so here I am with the MSR A4 all kitted up, the bags all loaded up ready to roll. Filled up with water, tools, snacks, extra set of gloves and still got some room to pack some extra stuff in there if you really want to jam it in. As you can see here is the main feature of the pack, the four-point harness that comes together at the center buckle. Keeps everything all the pinch points clear on your underarms. The thing just does not move around whatsoever. You get a little bit of side-to-side, but the bags not coming around underneath your arms or anything. It’s been super awesome for me, I've enjoyed wearing this pack every ride I've been on. It’s a little on the small side if you're going for for a weekend, I'd probably go up to their 15 litre, I believe they have, is their next option. But for day trips this is perfect, and as you can see the pack works great with all your armor. I got my compression suit on underneath my Jersey here, chest protector on top, neck brace, and everything feels excellent. I don't have I don't have any issues with mobility with this thing on, even with all the gear. The buckle sits super tight up underneath the edge of the Atlas brace. Actually helps hold that thing down there too, I do have the Atlas brace straps holding that puppy on as well, but I do believe the pack helps with that. I've had no issues with this bag construction wise, it's been holding up super super good. All the elastics are still super elasticy, as you can see here the harness systems had some adjustability in the straps with some velcro up top here, and then down closer to the buckle is elastic to help this thing hug onto your back a little bit better. The the only thing that's happened to me with this pack is I lost the original bite valve on this guy. It got hooked on a tree and tore it off, I never found the thing, but these are replaceable so no sweat and no fault on MSRs part. Just a little trick here in the winter actually when we're riding, your hose is gonna freeze up so you're not be able to drink water when you're thirsty. So all we do is open her up give her a blow get all your liquid back into your pack. Close up your valve and what I like to do is keep it somewhere warm. Keep it under your armpit or or somewhere close to your gear. I like to tuck it in underneath here, better chance of that bite valve not freezing up. You can tuck it in behind your chest protector on the front, get creative with it. But that will keep you using your pack when it's cold out here. So here you go guys my one year later review, zero issues with the bladder, super easy to clean super easy to fill. It's a great piece of kit, excellent, it's been great Thank You MSR. Thanks for watching guys, don't forget to hit that subscribe button and check out what we got coming up next! Now let's go ride!
