New Project - Customer's Vintage Leather Vest Restoration

Hi, All. I'm restoring a customer's leather vest. It's a man's vest, which I am restoring. The vest was a dull dark brown with rub marks. I have dyed it to a luscious dark brown using Tandy's Eco Flow water-based dye. I took the vest apart so that I can work on the lining. It was interesting to me that the sheer lining in the vest did not have any interfacing. Without interfacing the vest lining will not hold it's shape, and it didn't. I am replacing the dull black lining with a red silk-blend suit lining fabric with interfacing to give it shape and pizzazz. The lining pockets are good. I will use them in the new lining. The outer pockets, however, are just holes. So, I'm giving them new life with the same fabric I'll use for the lining. My customer should be GQ, styling and profiling for the winter months with this vest. Go on this journey with me.
