CHARIOT SCENE stunt, SAMSON & the 7 MIRACLES OF THE WORLD, Gordon Scott. 1961.

Even though there is a copyright claim on this section of the movie, I felt that I had to COMMENT on how fantastic this scene is. This has to be Gordon Scott's most fantastic action scene, ever. Gordon Scott performed all the stunts in this entire sequence. The commentator on the new Blu=Ray release seems to think that Giovanni Gianfiglia performed all the dangerous parts. Well he didn't, Gordon Scott did everything himself. Giovanni Gianfiglia IS IN THIS MOVIE but only in a few arena scenes. (You can see him clearly standing in the "chop the melons" sequence. The driver of the chariot must be a Master Horseman in order to control those 8 fast horses. Anyone can control 2 horses. I personally have driven 4 myself, but 8 looks like an impossible task. Watch this sequence carefully and see what I mean. FANTASTIC. The part where Scott drives the 8 horses while standing on the chariot tongue is another note-worthy feat of horsemanship. Bravo Gordon.
