English in New Zealand is, well, it’s a bit different. I mean, sure, MOST of it’s the same, but there are a few differences that can be quite confusing! In New Zealand there are a bunch of words that have a couple of meanings… often there is a meaning that we know from ‘standard English’, and then there is also another completely different meaning that is unique to ‘New Zealand English’.
