Welcome to the NewYork-Presbyterian Queens (NYPQ) Emergency Medicine Residency, the premier emergency medicine residency in Queens. Nestled in the heart of New York, we offer one of the most robust, comprehensive training experiences in the country. Our unique emergency department offers trainees the opportunity to treat a wide spectrum of patients from all walks of life in the most ethnically diverse county in the nation. Given the diversity of our patients, NYPQ residents have the benefit of frontline experience with a wide range of pathology not available at other training sites. Our graduates gain the experience and expertise to manage the most challenging cases that present to an emergency department and ultimately are able to tackle any case that comes through our doors. NYPQ is part of the NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation's most comprehensive and integrated academic health care delivery systems, dedicated to providing the highest quality service and most compassionate care to patients in the New York metropolitan area, nationally, and throughout the globe. Affiliated with the Weill Medical College of Cornell University, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is a community-based academic hospital with a high level of medical acuity, where our patients speak over 130 different languages and come from all walks of life. We are additionally an ACS-verified Level I trauma center, a Joint Commission primary stroke center, and an AHA STEMI receiving center that sees over 120,000 patients annually. Disclaimer: All depicted patients are medical simulations. No real patients or protected health information were involved. Some footage was obtained prior to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
