Happy new year!! I was away for a week hanging out at MAGFest 2019 but it feels great to be back bringing in some video game metal into the new year. This week we're taking on the Zio boss theme from Phantasy Star IV requested by my man edgemis! This theme even on the original 16 bit format is metal as heck already. It's such a bangin rhythm section and a super catchy melody. Arranging this theme was truly an enjoyable experience. Even though it was already a super metal theme though, I couldn't help but want to make some parts a bit spicier and add my own flavor into the theme. I had a ton of fun harmonizing some of the melodies like on the B section of the verse. and who could resist that fat breakdown section right before the bridge. That was a no-brainer haha. Overall I had so much fun putting this theme together, it had a ton of potential for me to do my own thing on. Thanks so much edgemis for the request! Hope you guys enjoy!!
