here is the first video of the zanussi flexidose ZWG7140P. i am washing a load of towels on cotton 90°. the saturation phase consists of a mixture of longer and shorter tumbles, and takes ~10 minutes. it does not detect the load, but adjusts the time remaining after it reaches temperature, since the time spent washing at temperature is fixed. it does heat in stages - first between 30-40°, then between 50-60°, then finally up to max temperature. the wire probe thermometer will not be used with this machine due to the door seal design not keeping it in place. this was the same issue we had on flexitime due to having the same seal design, other than the load deflector being in a different place. i measured 3 times, with a highest reading of ~77° on the glass, meaning it likely reached ~79-80° in the drum. it performs the usual 3 rinses by default, with the usual 850rpm and 1000rpm intermediate spins. however, the spin programming is a mix between older style and newer style - the detangling tumbles, balance checks and 450rpm burst are new style, but after reaching 450rpm on the main burst, the rest of the spin is old style. the final spin has an additional 1100rpm burst, exactly like newer models do. this additional burst even accelerates the same way as newer models. the spin programming does tend to cause a buildup of suds/water on the 450rpm burst, but it stops and reattempts the burst upon sudslocking. it hasn't given any issues so far, but it's still early days with the machine. the water levels seem better balanced than other electrolux machines i have used (besides IZ which is amazing for water use). it's not that sensitive with balancing, which is a massive contrast to the time manager W/D i filmed a while ago, being made only a year or so before this machine. it kind-of follows flexitime's logic - it will balance check most imbalances, and accept most distributions, rebalancing if it feels necessary. the final spin is a bit more sensitive. the pump is very quiet, which is nice. the machine is fitted with a welling motor, surprisingly. sadly, the motor bearings aren't great and you can hear them especially during the final spin. i will change the motor if i end up keeping this machine long-term. the final spin holds at 1360rpm for 2 minutes, which is not bad at all. interestingly, the high speed relay activates on the increase from 1000 to 1150, unlike typical electrolux machines that activate it when it increases from 1150 upwards. energy usage for this cycle was 2.246kWh. 00:00:00 - introduction, loading, adding detergent, selecting cycle 00:03:23 - start and initial drain 00:03:43 - saturation 00:15:08 - main wash 01:25:56 - temperature reached and time correction 01:29:20 - highest temperature 76.6°C 01:45:55 - cooldown 01:49:40 - first intermediate spin 850rpm (w/ unbalanced sudslock burst) 01:59:55 - first rinse 02:07:20 - second intermediate spin 1000rpm 02:15:30 - second rinse 02:22:51 - third intermediate spin 1000rpm 02:30:54 - softener rinse 02:38:52 - final spin 1400rpm 02:52:32 - anti-crease 02:53:12 - waiting for door to unlock 02:55:16 - end, unloading and results
