Hi guys, Here's a demo of TITANIUM castellated caliper pistons and the reason why this is a great upgrade for your bike. Firstly, they're half the weight of the OEM part. They don't corrode like steel caliper pistons. So you can ride in the worst conditions and they will never rust. They have a Titanium Nitride coating which is a hardened surface coating and helps resist damage from grit. The pistons will reduce unsprung weight and help suspension cope. Titanium is a poor conductor of heat so it'll reduce the heat getting to the brake fluid. These have castellations on the contacting edge with the brake pad. This allows air to flow into the piston cavity and aiding cooling. The leading edge also has a reduced contact patch, further reducing the transfer of heat to the brake fluid
