Homemade Cracker Jack Popcorn | Caramel Popcorn Recipe

Subscribe to our channel for more simple home made recipes!    / @samandfengcooking   Instagram:   / samandfengcooking   Printable recipe: http://samandfengcooking.com/ Recipe: ⅓ cup popcorn kernels 1 ½ tablespoons oil 1 cup brown sugar ¼ cup light corn syrup ½ cup unsalted butter ½ teaspoon baking soda ½ teaspoon vanilla 1 cup salted peanuts 1. Add the oil and kernels to a large pot over high heat. Put the lid on. When the kernels start to pop shake the pan every now and then to ensure even heating. Turn off the heat when the kernels stop popping. 2. Add popcorn and salted peanuts to a large bowl. 3. To make the caramel, combine the brown sugar, butter and corn syrup in a saucepan. 4. Boil the caramel for 5 minutes while stirring. After 5 minutes turn off the heat and quickly add the vanilla and baking soda. Stir until combined. 5. Add the caramel to the popcorn and peanuts and gently stir until all popcorn is evenly coated. 6. Add the popcorn to a baking tray lined with parchment or a baking mat. Spread in an even layer. 7. Add the popcorn to a 200°F oven and cook for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes. Allow to cool on the pan and break apart large clusters if desired.
