Sarla grew up at the feet of the Father of the Nation, knowing him fondly as 'Bapu'. 72 years after having left the Sabarmati Ashram, she takes us through the corridors of her memory as she walks the grounds of her childhood home. To her, the ashram is a place of fun, mischief, laughter, and fond memories. It is the home of her games with Bapu, her reprimands from Ba (Kasturba), her experiences with 'Jawahar ji' and 'Vallabh bhai'--not leaders of the Indian freedom struggle, but her friends and family.
