VIVEKANANDA PUBLIC SCHOOL Karanji, Odisha TEACHERS’ DAY PROGRAMME Report on Teacher’s Day week Celebration Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September every year on the occasion of the birth anniversary of India’s second President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan; Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was of the opinion that “teachers should be the best minds in the country”. On every September 5, Teacher’s Day is celebrated all over India as an occasion to appreciate and acknowledge the efforts and hard work of our teachers in making us sophisticated and responsible individual Situated in a beautiful scenic atmosphere, Vivekananda Public School like every year, had organised National Teacher’s Day programme in school in this year. Seven days programme with several holistic events was started on 29-08-2022 with a Poster Making or creating a sketch of a teacher of the school. The event was immensely responded by the students. It showed their talented performance as well as their concern to be engaged in the cultural activities of the school. On the next day 30th of August, students had prepared a Word Cloud for their teacher. So many word cloud pictures came out from that event. It was a really surprising to the teachers who attended the programme. 31st of August, Students had prepared a card for their teacher. They have showed their creative skills and thinking perspectives all through the event. On the 1st of September, students had created a handmade present for their teacher. It enables them to present their artistic thoughts and extra-curricular activities. 2nd of September it was the day of Certificate of Appreciation for the teacher. On the 3rd of September, all the students wore red t-shirt to convey the respect towards their teachers. They clicked selfie with the teachers and gave a hashtag (# redforvps) and uploaded their photo in respective social media. On the eve of teacher’s day week celebration, i.e. 04-09-2022 they had made a promise to be an ideal student in future. To express their concern and sincerity, they took their photo with their own self-expression. “ I promise to show you respect. I will study harder from now, I will submit all my homework and classwork on time. I will obey my elders. I will always listen to you. ” Finally, on the 5th of September, National Teacher’s Day, with the introduction of different cultural programme, the school witnessed the Celebration of Teachers Day of VPS 2022. In the morning assembly, there were different programmes took place like quiz, singing performance, dance programme and so on.
