TSA-like screening comes to the Cobb Courthouse

The Cobb Sheriff's Office has installed a new screening system at the Superior Courthouse, designed to help better detect weapons and dangerous items. The system is the same one used in many airports and uses AI technology to help better screen items and bags coming through the machine. This comes when the threat level is increasing in these kinds of facilities. The new system is funded thanks to the voters' recent approval of a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST).
