This is flight 16 of 24 from my recent trip where I flew around the Caribbean. In January, I set out to fly to as many places in the Caribbean as possible, and after 12 days, 13 airlines, 24 flights, and over 10,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 14 different countries & territories. Over the next few weeks I'll be posting these flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! The flights will be posted every Wednesday and Saturday until all 24 flights are live! Monday full flight uploads will be reserved for other flights I have going on at the moment. So check back every week to take this incredible journey with me! Full Trip Playlist: • Flying Around The Caribbean - Full 20... ---------- Leave a like if you enjoyed the video! This flight actually left about an hour and a half late after the aircraft encountered a mechanical problem as we taxied out for departure. And... It's probably not the type of mechanical problem you're thinking. So, as we departing on time, a brief and sudden wind/rain storm passed over the airport. The wind caused a cone that was placed in front of another parked aircraft to get blown in front of our aircraft, and it was then sucked into the prop of our aircraft...Of course, since the PC-12 is a single engine aircraft, I did not capture that on film as I would have needed a camera in the cockpit to see it, so it's not included in this video. But, nonetheless, that caused us to have to shut down our engine, wait for a tow back to the hard stand, where we proceeded to wait in the lounge while the pilots and mechanics did an inspection to determine if anything was damaged. Ultimately it was determined that the aircraft, the prop, and the engine were fine and the pilots informed us we could go. But, that's not really where the story ends, because most airlines wouldn't give anyone any additional options at that point... The aircraft has been cleared to go by maintenance, let's go! No... Not Tradewind. The pilots came into the lounge, explained everything to all three of us, explained that they were 100% confident in the aircraft and asked us if anyone we had any questions. Then, they still gave all of us the option to be rebooked on Tradewind's dime on a later Cape Air flight to San Juan if we did not feel comfortable getting on the aircraft. Everyone ended up taking the original flight, and I was personally 100% fine with that. With my background and experience flying I knew that neither of those pilots would ever accept a plane that they didn't have confidence in, but I still thought it was very professional and good of Tradewind to offer to to rebook anyone at their own expense if they didn't feel comfortable. That's some good customer service there! ---------- Detailed Times: 0:00 – Intro 0:04 – Pre-Flight (Terrance B.
